New Box 11 Lesson - Fade effect

Box 11 demonstrates how to dye a fade effect across one whole skein of yarn. This uses a sock blank to dye the shades, rather than the previous method of tying yarn in sections (jam jar lesson).
It uses both the dip dye method using a deep saucepan as in lesson 1, and a painting on yarn approach from lesson 5.
These shaded skeins are perfect for creating shawls or blankets, where you want the yarn to gradually change colour across the project.
Before December 2024, the box 11 lesson was on dyeing with madder. If you had the madder lesson, then you won’t have had this new version, creating a fade effect.
